The second edition is longer and harder. The final day of the Haute Route is the first day that is a net descent. After a descending from the start in St Etienne de Tinée comes the final major climb of the event Col de Saint-Martin.

Depending on where you choose to stay, many of the hotels will accept credit cards but some will not, so you should be prepared to pay in cash for most of your expenses.
